Mentor Mode allows students to share trading data with a mentor for review, coaching, and feedback.
As a student, you control who can access your data, which broker accounts are shared, and what level of access each mentor receives.
Step 1: Select “I’m a Student”
When you open Mentor Mode for the first time, choose:
I’m a Student
Then click:
Invite Mentor
Mentor Mode supports two roles:
- Student: Share selected trading accounts with a mentor
- Mentor: Review student trading data after access is approved
Step 2: Enter Your Mentor’s Email
In the Invite Mentor popup, enter your mentor’s email address.
You can invite one or more mentors by entering their email addresses.
Step 3: Choose Access Level
Before sending the invitation, choose what your mentor can access.
TradeBB supports permission-based sharing.
View Only
The mentor can view your shared trading data, including trades, journals, reports, and notes.
They cannot make changes.
Full Access
Full Access gives the mentor broader permissions inside the shared account.
Only use Full Access with mentors you trust.
Step 4: Choose Accounts to Share
Next, select which broker accounts you want to share.
You can choose:
- All accounts
- Specific broker accounts
This allows you to control exactly what your mentor can review.
For example, you may choose to share only your demo account, funded account, or a specific broker account.
After selecting access level and accounts, click:
Send Invite
Step 5: Wait for Your Mentor to Accept
After you send the invitation, your mentor will see a request inside their Mentor Mode page.
The mentor can either:
- Accept your invitation
- Decline your invitation
Your data will not be available to the mentor until the invitation is accepted.
Step 6: View Accepted Mentors
Once your mentor accepts the invitation, they will appear under:
Mentor Mode → My Mentors
From this page, you can review:
- Accepted mentors
- Pending invitations
- Access level
- Shared mentor relationships
You can also manage or remove mentor access when needed.
What Your Mentor Can See
Depending on the accounts and access level you choose, your mentor may be able to review:
- Dashboard
- Trades
- Calendar
- Reports
- Daily Journal
- Notes
- Shared broker account data
When a mentor views your account, TradeBB displays a clear banner showing that they are currently viewing a student account.
Important Notes
- You control which mentor can access your data.
- You choose which broker accounts to share.
- You choose the access level for each mentor.
- Mentors cannot view your data until the invitation is accepted.
- You can manage mentor access from the My Mentors page.
