How to connect your cTrader account

cTrader connects through your cTrader ID, the login you already use for the platform. You sign in on cTrader's own page and approve the connection there, so TradeBB never sees your password.

Connect your account

  1. In TradeBB, open Import Trades → Add broker account and choose cTrader
  2. You're taken to cTrader's sign-in page. Log in with your cTrader ID
  3. Approve the connection on cTrader's screen
  4. Pick the trading account or accounts you want in your journal

Your history imports, and the account's Last Update time shows when it last synced.

  • Read-only — TradeBB can read your trade history; it can't open, change or close a position
  • Demo accounts too — a demo under the same cTrader ID can be added as its own account
  • Nothing to install — no cBot or plugin

Prefer to upload a statement?

Useful for history from an account you no longer hold.

  1. In cTrader, open the History tab
  2. Select the account and the date range
  3. Click Statement and choose the HTML statement
  4. If it opens in a new tab, click Save to download it
  5. Upload the file under Import Trades

Troubleshooting

My broker's account doesn't appear after I sign in.

Most cTrader brokers allow cTrader ID connections, but not every one. If yours doesn't, upload a statement instead.

How do I disconnect?

Remove the account in TradeBB, or revoke TradeBB's access in your cTrader ID settings. Either one stops the sync.

I also have MT4 or MT5 accounts.

Connect them too; each becomes its own account. See How to connect your MT5 account.
