Tradovate's Account Reports can export your trades as a CSV. TradeBB reads both the Performance report and the Orders report, so use whichever you already download.
Download a report from Tradovate
- In Tradovate, open the Account panel and select the account
- Click the gear icon next to the account to open Account Reports
- Choose the Performance tab or the Orders tab
- Set the date range and click Download Report
The file downloads as a CSV, often named after the range you picked, like TODAY.csv.
- Performance — one row per round trip, with the buy and sell already matched
- Orders — one row per order
Upload it to TradeBB
- In TradeBB, open Import Trades
- Choose your Tradovate account, or add one
- Upload the CSV
Have several Tradovate accounts, such as a personal account and evaluations? Export and upload each into its own TradeBB account. Don't combine them in one file.
Add your commissions
Tradovate's Performance and Orders reports don't include what each fill cost; that's in Cash History. Your first import shows results before commissions. To make them net, either:
- Before you upload: open the CSV, add a column named
commission(capitals don't matter), fill in the cost per fill, save and upload - After you upload: open a trade, go to Executions, click Edit, and enter the commission on the fill
Once added, commissions are counted in every report.
Troubleshooting
Which report should I choose?
Either. If you've been downloading one already, keep using it.
My results look better than my Tradovate account.
Commissions aren't in the report. Add them using one of the two ways above.
My prop account runs on Tradovate.
Export it the same way and give it its own account in TradeBB.
